An international cultural exchange where our club discovers and experiences other cultures with Rotaract partners around the world.
What we did
Many Cultures, One Table is an international cultural exchange initiative organized by Rotaract Club Zgharta Zawie with the goal of creating meaningful connections between Rotaract clubs around the world while celebrating cultural diversity. Through this initiative, each participating club hosts a cultural evening dedicated to its partner club’s country. Members experience the featured culture by preparing authentic traditional dishes, watching a recommended local film, learning about the country’s history and traditions through an interactive presentation, and participating in cultural games and activities. The exchange is reciprocal: each club introduces its own country to the other, allowing both groups to experience each other’s culture in an engaging and immersive way. Following the cultural nights, members meet online to share their experiences, discuss what they learned, and strengthen the friendships formed throughout the exchange. The project has already been successfully implemented with Peninsula Rotaract Club (Australia) and Rotaract Warszawa Fryderyk Chopin (Poland), with both cultural nights completed and exchange meetings held between the participating clubs. Building on the success of these first exchanges, the initiative is continuing with upcoming collaborations involving clubs from Indonesia, Brazil, Ghana, and Jamaica, with the long-term vision of connecting Rotaractors from every continent through friendship, dialogue, and cultural discovery. Many Cultures, One Table promotes international understanding, cultural curiosity, and lasting fellowship between Rotaractors across borders, reflecting the core values of the Rotaract movement.
