Zgharta Cross Country 2025

A 4 km community race organized for World Health Day to promote physical well-being and raise awareness about maternal and newborn health.

What we did

To celebrate World Health Day, the Rotaract Club of Zgharta Zawie organized Zgharta Cross Country 2025, a 4 km race that brought together more than 200 runners from across North Lebanon. The race took place in the center of Zgharta, where the municipality closed the main road to create a safe and lively environment for participants and spectators. Runners of all ages participated, including children, teenagers, and adults, making the event truly inclusive. In addition to the race, the event also included a short awareness session on maternal and newborn health, interactive activities, refreshments for runners, and post-race physiotherapy support. Local partners, volunteers, and sponsors played an important role in making the event possible. The race created a vibrant atmosphere in the town and highlighted the importance of health, community engagement, and collaboration. It also strengthened the connection between the club and the community, leaving a lasting positive impact and paving the way for future editions of the event.
